WHAT IS THE BOTTOM LINE ON HOMELESSNESS IN WOODLAND AND WHAT SHOULD WE DO ABOUT IT?

Homelessness is not going to go away, it is only going to accelerate as the economy strengthens because the most productive elements, the working population, are prospering while those not working or contributing to the economy are going steadily the other direction.  The poverty level will increase steadily over time in direct proportion to the economy.

According to the last survey, there were 31 homeless individuals on the street not participating in some type of government subsidy for housing and 50 being assisted by agencies such as 4th and Hope and others already.  These are amazing numbers
considering the plans for expansion of Homeless Housing on Beamer and 102. Not only are these numbers relatively insignificant embarking on a project of this magnitude (COST
WISE) and defy common sense.

San Antonio Texas, with an estimated population of 1.5 Million have 705 people in the homeless individuals not participating in some subsidy for housing.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
